Leveraging the Agilities
for Elementary

Developing the Agilities in students from a young age levels the playing field for kids. The Agilities foster a sense of independence, responsibility, and teamwork at an earlier age. â€‹

Agilities & The Agile Work Profiler

Agilities help people of all ages prepare for the next step in their education or career path.  Agilities are work skills that exist in every job in the economy, just in different amounts, and provide language that can be applied to careers and economic pathways of interest.

The Agile Work Profiler is an online 10 to 15-minute assessment tool designed to help individuals affirm their Agilities and apply them in the marketplace.

Get Your Ranked Agilities

The Agile Work Profiler (AWP) is a 15-minute assessment that provides you a ranked order of your Agilities today. The AWP is intended for use with high school-aged students and beyond. The assessment was designed using data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics where we analyzed over 1000 jobs in the workforce today. The insights you receive empower career decision-making and confidence in career conversations.

Knowing your own Agilities can help you in your efforts to help students discover theirs. It's highly encouraged for you to take this quick assessment before teaching students using Agilities lessons.

Science Behind the
Agile Worker Profiler

The Agile Work Profiler (AWP) is a skills and career assessment inspired by The DeBruce Foundation’s (DBF’s) objective to broaden career opportunities for individuals. The notion of agility has two critical implications in the evolving economy. First, individuals often have strengths that are assets in a variety of career domains, even when such domains are seemingly dissimilar and are thus unlikely to be considered meaningful options. Second, the notion of agility implies that the individual can build new strengths based on interests in different opportunities in the world of work. Thus, an Agility is a capability that can be improved over time, depending on the individual’s scope of career interests. The wider the scope of interests, the broader the opportunities for the person to consider determining which of their capabilities, if any, should be improved (and to what degree) in order to pursue their interests. The DeBruce Foundation invested time in researching data from over 1000 careers to identify work tasks and how those are interconnected between different industries.

Value of The Agile Work Profiler

The Agile Work Profiler is a short, easy, online assessment that identifies individuals' top work skills and interests, called Agilities.  Developed in 2018 from industry data of over 900 jobs, the AWP provides options for individuals to explore many possible career paths rather than being matched to a job one might not find fulfilling or successful.  As one's skills and interests are constantly changing, the AWP is a life-cycle model for anyone beginning their career journey or looking to make a career change.
