Project Planning Template

Ensure that you're including all the necessary parts to creating a group project for your students to grow and explore new topics. The template includes guided questions for selecting the topic, content, essential skills, technology skills, inquiry, essential questions, voice and choice, critique and revisions, audience, classroom management, deliverables, and assessment.

Authentic Presentations

Craft projects and presentations around authentic audiences, technologies, products, competitions, and partnerships. This resource provides a large list of ideas.

Active Listening Strategy Cards

Help support students in participating in group discussions and during presentations. The Active Listening Strategy Cards have prompts for different types of responses.

Use Suggestions:

  • Create an anchor chart for students to reference during group discussions

  • Print front and back and place on student desks as standing table cards

  • Print individual reference sheets for students to place in learning notebooks

Question Matrix Suggestions

The Questioning Matrix was developed by Chuck Weiderhold and allows a user to develop questions using question stems that are aligned to different levels of thinking. There are 4 levels present within the Questioning Matrix. It is a guide to spread out questions among different levels of thinking.

Lesson Book List

Quickly and easily see books that are used for each lesson. These are fairly common picture books that might be available in your school library.

 

In addition, pre-recorded read-alouds can be found online through Google or YouTube at no cost.
